I am also not going to risk a malfunction of my current version, because the disruption would cause a serious hindrance to by ability to satisfy my current clients, and earn a living. And.I am not in the habit of mindlessly installing software that may clash with my system, or deposit a lot of unwanted garbage into my registry, without having some notion of the recommended installation procedure.
Too bad they made me download and install software I don't want, onto my system (not everyone is a Flash fan-boy), just to get installation instructions that STILL couldn't be accessed anyway. Too bad no one told me that if I pull that trigger on Sunday, when there's no one at the switch, that I would be in for a major frustration. What a delightful surprise to get a functioning link the following day in an e-mail. How convenient to be unable to find a link anywhere that allows one to download the software that was just purchased. How convenient for Corel that the process only stopped functioning AFTER they had my money. I assumed the pop-up that was presented to me, represented a fully functioning path to the upgrade. My well-configured and maintained system rarely has an issue with anything except software (or some company's ill-designed web-based transaction procedure). I have been using PSP since it was shareware. I am not a noob (I'll build you a computer if you like). I am simply warning others of possible issues if you choose to pull the trigger on the pop-up that emerges when you have your current version open.
